Nursery Averages Have Been Updated
The Pig Racing night at the Nursery on Thursday November 22nd was once again poorly attended by the members. The ones that did bother turning out (The Usual Suspects) had a fantastic time and we raised £180 for the Club. Many thanks to: Martin Thorley, Andy Proctor, Malcom Lee, Dave Farrar, John Kennedy, Malcolm Savage, Peter Bradbury, Arthur Pickering, Bob Hindle, Tony Roylance, Ian Pittendrigh, John Williams, Irving Cummings & Malcom Thorley and not forgetting their wives and partners. Also many thanks to Helen & Amanda for helping me run the 'betting' side of the event. You can watch a video of race 4 at the link below.

Congratulations to Graham Barratt on winning the 2012 LV Award of Merit. This was played on Sunday September 23rd at LMRCA and is a competition for the individual average winners of each club in the Altrincham league. Graham met Mike Bacon in the final, and with the score at all but 14 down; he looked like he was booked for the runners up spot; he won the next 7 points and ran out a worthy winner, collecting £200 plus a handsome Trophy. This will be presented at the LV Presentation Night, which will be held at the Sale Excelsior Club on Symons Rd in Sale on Friday 19th October starting at 8pm.
The AGM is next Thursday the 25th of October at the Nursery Inn on Green Lane. It starts at 8pm and gives all members the chance to come down and have their say about anything that concerns them re the running of the Nursery BC.
The Winter Sweep starts this Sunday October 14th at Love Lane. Click here to go to the web page for more details.
Well done to Grahame Tonge for winning the 2012 Coronation Cup. Tuesday nights heats were washed out and it was decided to try and play the whole competition on Thursday. 18 bowlers turned up and due to the fact that the floodlights had to be turned off at 10pm it was decided to play the 2 semi finals and final on Friday night. Grahame was in tremendous form and after a titanic duel with Bernard in the semi had no trouble dispatching Dave in the final.
